The Topeka Holiday Gift Mart kicked off the holiday buying season at the capital town Saturday in the Kansas Expocentre, in which hundreds of folks browsed goods offered mainly by vendors.

Show director with RJ Promotions, Cindi Baker, stated the Holiday Gift Mart gives individuals a chance early in the holiday season to see unique gift items. She stated there was “something for everyone” in the function.

The almost 90 stalls of the show showcased items that included clothes handmade jewelry, foods and home decor and crafts. The booth of Capital Iron Works LLC boasted a display of colorful metallic artwork.

Baker said though some came in the Kansas City area the majority of the vendors of those gift mart were neighborhood.

Santa Claus will be available for photos with children, and there’ll be drawings for birthdays every half-hour, Baker stated.

The gift mart continues from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Expocentre. Admission is $5, with free admission for kids under age 16. Brothers marketing and A mothers Sunday will allow entrance for daughters with the paid entrance of a mom.

Entry will be free throughout the closing hour of the event, Baker stated.
